The Cegliese Biscuit (U' Piscquett'l) is a typical product of the peasant tradition of Ceglie Messapica, in Puglia.
A dessert made with almond paste, filled with orange jam and a light lemon fragrance, strictly handmade, 100% natural, gluten free, and lactose-free.
History tells that these biscuits were prepared and served by peasant families during wedding banquets or important anniversaries and also used as wedding favours.
Ingredients: Almonds (55%), honey (14%), orange fruit paste (oranges 35%, sugar, glucose syrup, lemon juice, thickener: pectin; preservatives: potassium sorbate; sodium benzoate; acidifier: calcium citrate) (14%), sugar, eggs, lemon zest.
