Unlike most Taralli these are old school and clearly made in the bakers own way. Substantial and dryer than run of the mill Taralli, they go well with olives. More like an old school oaty digestive biscuit texture. I tried and I liked and have been going to Puglia for thirty years.

These are just to rich for me. However, my friend and my daughters loved them.
A bit expensive but do come from Puglia. PS Visit Santa Maria De Leuca and Otranto in Puglia. Bellissima!!

The Taralli al Finocchio is so much more soft and moist to eat and does suffer from a flour taste. Truly scrumptious. Or second batch this year.
Just needs a much better box for transportation with Evri as they can get turned to dust in their carrying hands!
